Bob's Story
8/30/26

Please Share!

Everyone meet Bob!
What about Bob you ask? He is looking for a foster to adopt home!

Bob is 2years old and was found as a stray and picked up by a city shelter. This was probably the best case possible for him since he was in bad need of a groom and looked as if he'd been starved. This Standard Poodle mix boy was in bad need of some TLC and the shelter gave him meals, a haircut and his initial vetting so he could be on his way of finding a new life.

Bob is a very sweet, and active boy eager to get the other dog in his foster home playing... his foster brother, however, is not really that in to having a "Bob" around.

"Doodle Bob" as the shelter called him, is quite the clown and will keep you laughing with his antics. He isn't quite sure about the word "No" but is pretty sure it means "try again in 5 minutes". He is getting some pointers about being on a leash, housebreaking and trying to remain calm but he is still just so excited to be a part of a family that it may take him a while to calm down. He has all the charm of a Poodle, would be a great ball player (and will bring it back to you whether you throw it 10 or 100x!) or shoe fetcher and can help you clear a counter in one swoop (in case you were wondering). He knows how to sit and asks that any treat donations be given directly to him whether milk bone, dental stick or cheese. He calms very well in his crate and has only had a few accidents in his foster home. He mentioned, if you give him a week to settle in, he should have his new owners trained perfectly to take him out LOL

This boy likely had it bad in his previous life but he hasn't held that against anyone he has met since arriving. He is asking to be given a chance at a new home, new family and new life if you have room in your heart, home and treat jar!

Due to his size, activity level and age, foster to adopt requirements are:

-Living within 80 miles of Adams, NY.
-Having previous/current pets in annually at a local veterinary office and up to date on vaccines as well as spay/neutered.
-Being able to bring him back to our vets office in Adams for additional care, prior to adoption. After adoption, we recommend taking him to your current vet to be established.
-Bob seems to do well with other dogs, but would be best with an active playmate rather than a smaller senior dog. He has not been cat tested.
-He is a social pup but he has been put through a lot already in his short life, so a home with children over 10 years old is recommended.
-Willing to have current family members come to a meet and greet to meet the pet and be sure an acceptable match.
-Having time available to care for, socialize and start the training of a new pet.
-An adoption donation of $500 is being asked, if you choose to adopt, but fostering is free. He had his initial vet check, is current on vaccines, dewormings and prescription flea and tick medications and he has been neutered.

The first step in our adoption process is the veterinary reference check so please be sure to call your veterinarian's office to give consent to release records to us, so we can get this step out of the way.

Please help us to continue helping those that knock on our doors!

To foster to adopt: https://form.jotform.com/Meowchatz/pet-adoption-application-form

-------------
Foster to adopt pets are limited to an 80 mile radius of Adams, NY and pets must be taken to our vets office for care until adoption.

All pets must be viewed in person by all family members prior to adoption; animals will not be shipped to their new homes. Dogs in the home must come to the meet and greet as well to be sure they will get along with the new pet. Veterinary reference check and adoption donation also required. Check out our homepage for a full list of our adoption requirements.

http://allcreaturesbigandsmall.petfinder.com Prevent pet overpopulation, spay and neuter your pets!
