Blossom's Story
Blossom is one special dog! We guarantee she brings laughter and fun wherever she goes, despite her rough start to life! Blossom loves EVERYBODY! She is about five years old, 40 pounds, spayed, micro chipped and vaccinated. Luvable has provided for all of her immediate medical needs.

She is wonderful with all people and so far has shown no aggression or reactivity with other dogs. Her cat test is TBD but we expect her to be trustworthy with cats because of her gentle demeanor.

Blossom has had several litters if not many litters and was abandoned by a breeder when she could no longer produce puppies.
Her body showed years of neglect, being severely underweight with bad teeth and skin. Thankfully, our partner rescue saw her sweet nature, took her in and the healing process began.
When Blossom's care was transferred to Luvable, she needed an emergency, hernia repair and dental work. She has gained weight and her skin and coat have improved.

She is obviously the product of irresponsible breeders intentionally creating very short and wide dogs that unfortunately have challenges with their mobility but Blossom makes the most of her VERY short legs!
She hops when she is happy and loves to walk around and explore, albeit slowly. Exercise is good for her, but she is learning to enjoy riding in a stroller for more adventures!
Blossom loves meeting people and engaging with the world around her, especially with cuddles and belly rubs.

Blossom will need somebody patient with housebreaking.
Stairs are an impossible barrier for her so she will need a single level home and yard and someone willing to install lots of ramps which she is great at using already.

Blossom will need need a human who is physically fit, and capable of making up for what she lacks in mobility. We are hoping for a home that can accommodate her physical challenges and appreciate her amazing personality.

Kids: We suggest no small children and since she is a bit of a bowling ball.
Other dogs: We think she would do fine with another calm, social dog.
Adoption area: We are hoping to find a home in the Eugene/Springfield vicinity.
Long term care: Dogs like blossom WILL develop joint and mobility issues as they age and we strongly suggest adopters sign up for pet insurance.

Her adoption fee is $550, includes microchip and up to date vaccines.
