Blizzard is a strikingly unique looking boy with a beautiful coat and piercing blue eyes that you have to see in person. He is a happy, outgoing and attentive Lab, Husky and Beagle mix born in rescue on March 14. He is eager to please his people and always ready to play! We see lots of Lab in this boy he loves to chase anything you want to toss and is a natural retriever. He loves toys and food... but people are his favorite.<br/><br/>Off to a great start for a big life, Blizzard has been exposed to cats, kids, and other dogs. Hes been on adventures in the car and met lots of different people. He crates nicely, and with a later evening potty break, he sleeps through the night in the crate! Potty training is going well. His medium energy level is just right for a family that wants to incorporate him into everything they do.<br/><br/>Blizzard currently weighs about 20# and will be the perfect size for accompanying his people everywhere. He responds well to training and positive reinforcement obedience classes will be a breeze. He needs to learn all things puppy: walking nicely on leash, seeing new sights and sounds, and experiencing the world. Ongoing socialization will ensure he can lead the life he was meant to.<br/><br/>The best fit for Blizzard is an active family who sees a dog as a 4-legged family member. They love to laugh, because with Blizzard around, they definitely will! They can provide potty breaks every 3 or so hours during the day for now. He could live with a canine sibling or as an only pup with an engaged family. He would love a fenced yard for safe play and exploration and is also suited for a home with a history of keeping dogs safe on leash.<br/><br/>Children old enough to understand how to redirect his puppy teeth are a good fit. Blizzard cant wait to meet his forever family and dive right into his new, exciting life!<br/><br/>APPLY to adopt him at hoabcr.org/how-to-adopt<br/><br/>Blizzard is being fostered in Richfield, MN.<br/><br/>Blizzard's adoption fee is $550 + MN sales tax (this includes his neuter). He is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. He will be neutered and microchipped at the age of roughly 6 months. The cost of this procedure is included in his adoption fee. Upon adoption, all of our dogs go to their new homes with a collar and harness, leash, starter food, blanket, favorite toys & treats. They are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.<br/><br/>As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved. We are located in Minnesota and adopt to an area 400 miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul.
