Blackhawk's Story

Meet Blackhawk! Blackhawk may be a pretty typical puppy now, but he’s already overcome big challenges in his young life. He came to us as an owner surrender with Parvo—his entire litter was sick, and only he and his brother Hoot survived. We’re not certain of his exact breed mix (we were told Mastiff/Kangal), but we do know he’s a sweet, easygoing pup with a gentle soul. Blackhawk gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home and does fine with dog-savvy cats. He’s working on potty training and has crate training down solid. His leash manners are still a work in progress, but he’s eager to learn and grow. Since he’ll be a big boy, preference will be given to a home with a fully fenced yard. If children are in the home, we ask they be over age 5. Estimated DOB: 4/14/25 Blackhawk is ready to leave his tough start behind and find his forever family—could it be yours?
