Birdie's Story

Introducing, Birdie!

Birdie is a year old and 10 lbs. This little lady is absolutely adorable and so very sweet!

Her foster mom says: Birdie is about as easy as it gets for a foster. She is a sweet, gentle and loving girl who just wants to cuddle and love on you. It’s clear that she hasn’t had much outside time, but walking her on the leash is getting easier by the day. She can do a lot of zig-zagging and potentially tangle you up, but she’s getting more comfortable walking beside us and loves all the birds, smells and sounds of the neighborhood. Birdie has had some success going potty outside, but she is pee pad trained, and has not had any accidents in the house. She is definitely skittish and is comforted by being close to her person as much as possible. Other dogs make her very anxious. Birdie is crate trained and will cozy up in there with the door open while we work but lets us know that she would prefer a lap. Always.

Interested in learning more about Birdie? Apply at www.novapetsalive.org/adopt and come meet her this Saturday, April 18th from 1-3pm at Weber’s Pet Supermarket in Reston, VA.

*Birdie is spayed, up to date on vaccines, was given dewormer and monthly preventatives, and is microchipped.
