Birch's Story

AN INQUIRY FROM PETFINDER IS NOT AN APPLICATION! READ THE ENTIRE POST FOR INFORMATION HOW TO APPLY.

Meet Birch! Birch is a 3 month old male yorkie/shih tzu mix and he weighs about 5 pounds. Birch is still a growing puppy and we do expect him to get larger. Birch arrived in rescue after being from an accidental litter. He has been thriving in foster care, but is ready to find a family that is up for all of the puppy challenges, such as leash training, house training, continued socialization and learning what to chew and not chew. His foster mom says: Birch is a charming little Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix with a curious mind and enough terrier determination to keep life entertaining. He loves exploring his surroundings, investigating every sound and toy he can find, and then happily settling in for snuggles once playtime is over. Birch is playful without losing his sweet side, making him a fun companion for someone ready for all the adventures of puppyhood. He’s currently learning the basics like housetraining and leash walking, so he’ll need patience, consistency, and lots of encouragement as he grows. With his affectionate personality and spirited nature, Birch is sure to bring both laughter and love to his future home.

Birch is neutered, up to date on vaccines, on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped.

Birch is fostered in the Orlando area and his adoption donation is $525. If you are interested in applying to adopt Birch, please visit www.floridalittledogrescue.com to read the adoption process and complete an application! Please note that emails simply asking "Is this dog available" will not be returned, as applications are worked in the order received and availability largely depends on when you apply:) Please also know we do not adopt out of state! Thank you!
