Meet Beowolf

Look at this ball of fluff! Welcome, Beowolf! ?

Beowolf is an active young puppy. He loves to play and will trot across the yard, shaking his head from side to side. He and his siblings have not barked very much at all, but they love to spend time outside, watching for squirrels, when the weather is nice!
-You can apply to adopt Beowolf using the link below. However, we highly recommend reading his ENTIRE bio to find out more info about him and see if his personality would be a good fit with your family first.

Ready to hear from Beowolf's foster? The below text is what they have to say about him!
"Beowolf is an adorable 3-4-month-old Great Pyrennes mix puppy. He weighs about 40 pounds, has dewclaws on his back feet, and the biggest smile! He has very soft black fluffy fur that is on the medium to the long side. His favorite things: getting tummy pets, chewing on anything he can (he is teething, after all), and PLAYING with his fosters and the other dogs!"

Beowolf was an owner surrender to our rescue. He and his siblings kept wandering off from their owner's unfenced yard and the neighbors were threatening to shoot them. Shortly after coming to the rescue, he broke out with parvo. Thankfully, he kicked it in the butt and is one happy and healthy pup again!

Beowolf is a 4-5-month-old male Great Pyrenees mix. Given his size, we believe he may have some Border Collie or Australian Shepherd in him as well. He currently weighs about 40lbs. We are guessing that he will top out in the 50-60lbs range(this is a guess).

??To Beowolf's Future Family??
-----------------------------------------

? Beowolf wants to walk himself and will chew his leash. He and his foster are working on this. His new family will want to be patient with him. He didn't have a chance to practice leash walks prior to PPFT. Beowolf does GREAT on car rides! Beowolf got very sick with Parvo shortly after coming to PPFT. He has not been to many settings other than the vet's office. Beowolf gets SO excited to meet new people! He'll wag his tail, and shake his head from side to side like he's trying to say "Hello!" It is the cutest thing. Beowolf does not jump up on people.

? Beowolf will chase after tennis balls. He loves to squeak kong tennis balls, too. He will carry stuffed squeaky toys all around our yard. He is a playful, exuberant little guy! Beowolf is a water dog. He does great in the bathtub and will splash his front paws into his bowl outside. Beowolf is a toy dog! He is currently teething, so any toy that he can chew on instantly becomes his favorite.
-Beowolf will growl at the other dogs if they get too close to his food dish. He is working hard to gain weight (he and his sister Elvira were quite skinny), so his family will want to feed him separately if they have other dogs. Beowolf has not shown to have any issues with resource guarding.

?Beowolf is potty and kennel trained.
Beowolf is teething, so he wants to have his nylabones, oinkies, and kong chews nearby. He also LOVES to play with stuffed squeaky toys. Beowolf is potty and kennel trained. Beowolf has not shown to be a big barker in his foster home.

? Since Beowolf isn't leash trained, we don't feel an apartment setting where he has to be walked all the time would work for him. He would do best in a home that has a large fenced yard but goes on multiple walks so he can work on his leash training.

?Beowolf is being fostered around other dogs. His foster doesn't have any kids or cats. Beowolf loves to play with the other dogs in his foster home. He is SO interested in exploring and investigating his surroundings. He also loves to chase squirrels. We think Beowolf would do well with kids, but they need to be dog savvy. He is a young teething puppy.

?? Adopting Beowolf ??

Beowolf's ideal home would either have another playful dog, or a family that is home most of the day to give him lots of attention. He is SO cute! But somehow spent his first 3 months by himself with just his siblings, and didn't get much human interaction. He'd love to go run errands, take walks, and visit dog parks with his new family. He is not an in-your-face, super active dog. Beowolf truly got a second shot at life, and he wants to live it!

Beowolf is being fostered in Tulsa, OK. His new family needs to be able to pick him up(even if they are out of state). No commercial transports and no shipping. Just a fun road trip with him and his new family! ?

His adoption fee is $275. That includes two sets of puppy shots and wormings. He will also have had a bordetella. He will be micro-chipped, have a fecal done, be de-wormed, be spayed/neutered, and will be current on heart-worm and flea/tick prevention.
