Benny's Story
MEET BENNY

FENCE REQUIRED - Fostered in Pensacola FL

Benny is a handsome, approximately 6-to-8 month-old, double merle Great Dane puppy who is ready to find his forever family! This sweet boy was found as a stray in Daphne, Alabama, skinny and thirsty, with no microchip or collar to ID him. After a couple of weeks spent in vet boarding awaiting owners who never turned up, he officially became part of the NWFLGDR family, got fully vetted and moved into a foster home.

Despite being visually impaired, he doesn't let that slow him down one bit. Benny runs, plays, and enjoys life just like any other happy puppy.

Like a typical goofy Great Dane puppy, Benny is a Velcro dog who loves being close to his people. Whether you're relaxing on the couch or moving around the house, he'll happily be right by your side... or on you.

He is both potty-trained and crate-trained, making him an easy addition to a loving home.

Benny loves his chew toys and enjoys spending his days playing and zooming around the yard. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would enjoy having canine companions to play with. He's currently living in a foster home with another female Great Dane named Gwen, and he lets her rule the roost. His compatibility with cats is still unknown.

As mentioned before, Benny is a double-merle Dane, so he was born with starred pupils and lax muscle development in both eyes, which causes vision impairment. He can see, though, but were not sure how well and were not sure how much he will retain as he ages or if his sight issues will continue to worsen. He relies heavily on sound to guide him. And hes a typical clumsy dane puppy anyway, unaware of his spatial surroundings and size.

This lovable giant is looking for a family that understands special needs Danes and that will embrace his unique needs while giving him plenty of love, playtime, and cuddles. In return, Benny will fill your home with laughter, loyalty, and endless affection.

If you're looking for a sweet, goofy, resilient, and fun-loving Great Dane to share your life with, Benny may be the perfect match for you!

Benny is neutered, fully vaccinated and chipped. His adoption fee is $400. To apply to adopt Benny, please go to www.nwflgdr.com/adopt.

Please note: NWFLGDR does not transport. All approved adopters are required to pick up the dog in person from his/her foster parent's home.
