Hello. My name is Bennie and I was born on 4/30/2005 which makes me a distinguished gentleman 12 years of age. I came to Yorkshire Terrier National Rescue because a bunch of new people moved into my house with my family and there was no more room for me. I have always been an only dog but my foster mom has a bunch of dogs and we all get along but I really would prefer to be your one and only. I have many good qualities. I really like to meet new people. I stand up on my rear legs and walk up to them and give them a big smile. I think I should have a job at Walmart as a greeter! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE going for walks. I could walk all day and I am good riding in the car. My old mom made me wear a belly band in the house but my foster mom said I could go without it as long as I was good. I have not had 1 accident because we go outside very often. I also really enjoy sitting in the sun outside so I will need a fenced in yard because I can run really fast. I sleep in my crate at night. Now, you must be thinking "he's perfect" but I must admit to a shortcoming. I have a sensitive liver. Yes. That's right. I MUST be on a low fat/low protein diet or my liver gets mad. I can eat regular kibble but it MUST be low fat/low protein. I also take a pharmaceutical called Denamarin every day which keeps the toxins out of me. My foster mom gets it on the computer and she said it is not expensive. Well, that's my story. I'm a handsome, manly, independent little 8 lb. guy who would love to take you on walks every day.
