Bennet's Story

Bennet is a baby land hippo disguised as a dog! He has huge feet and even waddles like a duck when he walks--it's the cutest thing ever. He's on the larger side--about 65 pounds, and has no clue that he's NOT a lap dog.

Bennet was found as a stray on the streets of Philadelphia and went to the high kill shelter there where he was rescued in the nick of time because someone stepped up to foster him.

He is with four other dogs in his foster home--from 9 pounds to 50 pounds--and he gets along with everyone!

He is the sweetest and chillest dude ever! Not a mean bone in his baby hippo body! He is up to date on all vet care, a good eater, and loves his treats! He'll make himself at home pretty much in any room of your house, but he does need a "hand up" to get up on the bed.

He hasn't been around children, but given his sweet temperament, he'd likely be fine, although given his size, older children would be best as he might knock over a toddler, unintentionally of course! He hasn't been around cats, but can be cat tested. Again, he's so laid back, we doubt a cat would phase him.

To apply to adopt Bennet, go to https://www.centralpaanimalalliance.org/apply-to-adopt
