Baxter Hound & Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix Oklahoma City, OK

This handsome good boy is Baxter!

Baxter is an approximately 2-year-old male Hound/Catahoula mix who will weigh 55-60 lbs. fully grown (best guess). He was rescued from a local shelter, emaciated and dehydrated. He has transformed into a healthy, beautiful boy!

Baxter loves to play! A home with another playful dog around his size in the home would be optimal. Until he is used to eating with the other dogs in the home, he will need to be fed separately. He would do best in a home without toddlers due to his energy level. He is currently given free roam of the house when his foster Mom is not home (but be sure shoes are put up, and the trash can is secure!).

He loves people & great with kids (probably no toddlers due to his energy level). Requires a very secure stockade fence & a home visit. Baxter LOVES to cuddle on the couch and in bed. He would do best in a home where someone is home a lot of the time.

He is house-trained, only crated at night (he goes in on his own). He is making progress on leash-training and does better with a harness. Baxter is an affectionate boy who would love a home where he is included in activities and given plenty of love and attention.

Baxter is neutered, current on vaccines, on heartworm preventative, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $225.
