Baxter has been in the shelter too long and is in need of a forever family. He is friendly with people and is curious and energetic, but due to being confined in the shelter for so long is very shy. The Catahoula breed is known for 'extreme intelligence'. He needs a secure fenced yard. He is ready to be trained and will make a great companion as he is eager to please and have attention. Approved applicants may make appointments to meet the animal or can visit us at an adoption event. Completing the adoption application is not a commitment to adopt. You will be asked to complete an Adoption Contract after the adoption process (references, visitations, meeting with selected animal, etc) is completed
