Meet Basil!<br/>This handsome 212-year-old Border Terrier has been through more than any dog should have to—and now he’s ready to find the person who will show him that life can be pretty amazing. <br/><br/> • A Work-in-Progress — Basil had a rough start and spent a long time in the shelter, so he doesn’t immediately trust new people. He needs someone who understands that trust isn’t rushed—it’s earned. <br/> • Slow & Steady Wins His Heart — Give Basil patience, kindness, consistency, and a little time, and he’s learning that people can be safe and that good things can happen. <br/> • Playtime Approved! — Once he’s comfortable, Basil is a fun-loving guy who enjoys chasing a ball and hanging out with his canine friends!<br/> • Dog-Friendly — Basil does well with other dogs and has shown no aggressive behavior. He loves having furry friends around! <br/> • Smart Guy! — Basil knows his basic commands and is continuing to work on his leash manners. He’s learning that walks are much more enjoyable when we keep those paws moving without pulling! <br/> • Looking for His Person — Basil isn’t searching for someone perfect. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com<br/><br/>If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training and grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters.
