Banjo's Story

Banjo is a 3-year-old, 39 lb Bull Terrier/Whippet mix with the most fabulous oversized pink-spotted ears.

He's got the goofy, quirky personality Bull Terriers are known for, mixed with the speed and athleticism of a Whippet. Zoomies are one of his greatest talents.

Banjo has come a long way since being in foster for 4+ months. He is good with people and much more comfortable in the world around him. He can still be a little skittish at times, especially in new situations or busy public places.

He is fully potty trained, walks well on leash, rides well in the car, and is very attentive to his person. He loves checking in, making eye contact, and is highly treat motivated.Banjo is happiest with other dogs and needs a playful canine companion.

He spends his days running joyful zoomie laps, chewing on sticks or toys, and curling up as close as possible to his dog buddies for naps.

Banjo is very interested in cats, so a home without cats would probably be best. Because he can still be sensitive at times, a home without young children is also recommended. He does fine with chickens.

Banjo's ideal home is patient, kind, and understanding-someone willing to continue helping him build confidence while appreciating what a special little dog he is. In return, you'll get a loyal, hilarious, big-eared best friend who will absolutely steal your heart.

Banjo is available to adopt through Action 4 Animals Hawaii.
