Bailey’s's Story
Meet Bailey -- a tiny 13-year-old senior girl, just 12 lbs of spry, sweet spirit, looking for a calm, understanding home where she can enjoy life at her own pace.

Bailey came to us after her lifelong owner passed away. It was obvious just how loved she was, and now it's time to find her that same devotion in a new home.

Bailey can be a little standoffish at first, but she has sweet moments where she'll come ask for attention, want help getting onto the couch or bed, or quietly follow her people around the house. She's surprisingly spry for her age! At night she gets playful zoomies and loves nothing more than a joyful play session with her favorite humans. Otherwise, she's perfectly content curled up at the end of your bed or snuggled beside you on the couch.

Believe it or not, this girl LOVES the shower -- she happily hops in with you and genuinely enjoys bath time, and she insists you dry her hair as well. Because she has sensitive skin and fine hair that mats easily (which can lead to skin infections if not managed), Bailey needs diligent grooming care, including regular brushing and baths, along with staying on top of flea and parasite prevention. She's received Cytopoint injections in our care and has done wonderfully on them.

Bailey appears to be deaf and doesn't respond to her name or loud noises, but that doesn't slow her down one bit. She enjoys having her own space but is tolerant of other dogs and kids, and she prefers a peaceful environment where her boundaries are respected.

She's mostly house trained as long as there is consistency with potty breaks. Bailey has also made it very clear that she is not a fan of the kennel and would much rather sleep cuddled up in bed beside her humans.

Curious, independent, and endearingly quirky, Bailey needs someone patient and compassionate -- someone who understands senior dogs and is willing to let her settle in at her own speed. In return, she offers quiet companionship, sweet moments of affection, and the occasional joyful zoomie to remind you she's still got plenty of spunk left.

Based in Bryan, Texas.
