Baby's Story

Meet Baby!
Baby is a 1.5-year-old Cardigan Welsh Corgi/Dachshund mix, weighing in at 17 pounds. She's got the confidence of a corgi and the neediness of a dachshund , a combo that makes for one sweet, funny, big-personality girl.

She's a total lover, always ready to give kisses and snuggle up on your lap, but she's also a busy body who loves exploring, sniffing around the yard, and staying entertained. The best of both worlds: playful and independent, but just as happy parked next to you for cuddle time. She's also a good little watchdog, always keeping an ear out.

Baby is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and healthy from nose to tail. She was clearly well loved before coming to LAWS, with great teeth and a shiny coat to show for it. She loves food (all of it, she's never met a treat, or really any food, she didn't like), toys, walks, and new smells to investigate.

She does well in the car and is crate trained, and she's picked up on using a doggie door, though she still prefers company on her outdoor adventures. She's good on a leash, but definitely needs one, she's got some runner in her, so a secured fenced yard is a must for her forever home.

Baby has done well around male dogs and would do best as the only female in the home, ideally with one or two respectful male companions, she's got some corgi bossiness and can be a bit vocal in play, so she'll need a patient playmate. She's a little unsure of herself in new situations and could use a family willing to help build her confidence.

She's had limited exposure to kids and no experience with cats, so a home without either or one willing to go slow with introductions would suit her best.

Baby isn't looking for just any home. She's looking for her kingdom, and a family ready to let her rule it as the queen she is.
