Autumn's Story

APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/
We must have an application to move forward.

In foster in Tumwater, WA

Autumn is a very mature and sweet female dog…maybe a Carolina Dog with a mix of Redbone Coon Hound…only DNA will tell. DOB: 11/21/21 (about 4 yrs old) and now weighs 48#s. She has totally blossomed since she’s been in foster. She loves people and plays well with other dogs. She is also good with cats!!! Her luxurious red coat, chocolate brown eyes and perfect perky ears are just endearing to your senses and heart. She can be a COUCH POTATO…loves those restful times and calm moments on the couch with her head on your lap. She enjoys gentle pets and soft hands; but, also loves to play! Rope toys and chew things are her favorite. She Likes her stuffed toys. She ADORES her own doggie bed, and a soft blanket on her bed. She is leash trained; kennel trained; and house trained.

Autumn does great with cats and all dogs she has been introduced with properly. If you are a quieter home that is what she needs. Too many humans coming/going is we think too much overstimulation, we do not know if she was abused, she was a stray in Texas or she is just an overly sensitive dog who needs a mellower/quieter lifestyle, cats and dogs she has not shown overwhelm with, we believe it is just with too many humans coming and going.

She loves her human(s) but is nervous typically meeting new people.

FOSTER’S COMMENTS: How does her day go? She enjoys a steady routine, but doesn’t mind some change up. She likes to go for strolls, and loves to play with her dog friends once she knows them! She is vocal when playing with dog friends. She’s not a fence jumper nor an escape artist. Just a little adventurous. This will make her great for the person that likes to hike and take trips. She basically ignores cats. Ok in an apartment if taken for a strolls to potty daily. She prefers to free roam the home, but is kennel trained and is not destructive if roaming. She has shown no tendency to chew up things or potty inside!

Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention.

If you have any questions or would like an e-mail at shaynesrescue@gmail.com

You can also go to our Facebook page...
https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/
and LIKE us to help us out.

After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying.

Adoption Fees
The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting.

All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog.

HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/

This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose.

Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Shayne's Rescue's Adoption Policy
Please understand we spend all of our available resources and time saving dogs from death. We are all volunteers. Please fill out an application if you have an interest as then we can approve you to adopt any pup/dogs from us. There is no point in sending in an inquiry w/o an application, as we cannot consider someone or have them meet a dog until we have approved your application. You can ask questions in the application. We think we are most reasonable to adopt from, all we ask is you will provide a loving and supportive home as a pet guardian for the dogs entire life. If something major unforeseen occurs you will always return the dog to us, never to a shelter or anyone else. If the dog is ever to go anywhere but back to us, we do need to approve that person/family beforehand.
