Athena's Story
Athena is a lovely lady at about 6 years old and about 105 lbs! Don't let the photos fool you, she truly is a BIG sweetheart. She may be a middle-aged extra-large dog, but she would be a great addition to any family. She's lived with kids, cats and dogs and has done well with all of them. But she does better with dog-savvy cats who are confident around dogs. Her previous owner stated she should not live with chickens or ducks. Athena is looking for a good home with a secure yard where she can follow her favorite people around and ask for some loving's. She's met new dogs here and has done well with them, she has also had kids run up to her excitedly and she greeted them gently. Athena was raised as an outdoor dog and her previous owner told us she preferred to be outside or in the garage. So she may not want to be an indoor dog, or she will need someone patient and willing to show her that living indoors is okay!

She is fixed, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date on parasite preventatives. She is $185 to bring home!

If you are interested, please call the shelter at (541) 474-5458. You can view more adoptable pets at www.jocoshelter.com/adoptions . Walk-ins are welcome, however we highly recommend calling first to check on availability and location (some animals may be offsite or unavailable). Appointments are recommended to reduce wait times, especially for dogs. Thank you!
