Astro's Story

Astro (also known as “Lucky” for being the 7th born) is the 7th of 14 puppies, born on March 25, 2026. His mother, Nova, is a gentle Great Dane/Lab mix who was taken in as a stray, so Astro’s father is unknown.

Astro is a sweet, gentle boy with beautiful speckling all over his body that continues to become more prominent as he grows. The pattern is especially noticeable on his ears, which are a darker gray with distinct spots. While he isn’t the runt, he is the slowest grower and remains on the lighter, leaner side for his size. He has a very soft, easygoing nature and tends to fall toward the bottom of the pecking order, making him a tender, submissive companion. We’re excited to watch his personality continue to blossom.

Astro is now looking for a loving home and is ready to meet potential adopters—you’re welcome to come spend time and bond with him. We have tons of photos and videos available, so please inquire for more information or to meet Astro or one of his littermates. We’re also happy to help coordinate transport for out-of-state adopters.

Visit our social media for more pictures and videos of Nova's litter of 11 puppies (links provided below)

Learn more at: www.K9coop.org/adopt
Apply to adopt: https://form.jotform.com/k9coopinc/-rescue-dog-adoption-application

Facebook Link: https://www.facebook.com/share/1DYx4ZQcTt/
Instagram Link: https://www.instagram.com/k9.coop?igsh=MWg2N3p2ZmY0eTQ4bw==

K9 Coop's Adoption Policy
K9 Coop strives to match each dog with the best possible forever home. All prospective adopters must complete an adoption application and participate in a screening process, which may include reference checks, a home environment assessment, and an interview to ensure the dog’s needs align with the adopter’s lifestyle. Adopters are required to agree to our spay/neuter policy and, if applicable, sign a binding spay/neuter agreement before placement. All adopted dogs must be provided with appropriate veterinary care, including vaccinations, parasite prevention, and ongoing medical attention as needed. We maintain a supportive relationship with adopters after placement, offering guidance and assistance to ensure the dog’s successful transition into their new home.
