Ash's Story

Meet Ash!

These beautiful pups are part of our Black Beauty Litter and are officially ready to begin their search for forever homes! At approximately 5 months old, these Retriever mix puppies are growing into happy, social, and well-rounded young dogs who are ready to take on lifes next adventure with families of their own.

Ash, Smudge, Shadow, and Cinder are everything you would expect from young puppies. They are playful, affectionate, curious, and love spending time with people. They have been well-socialized and enjoy the company of children and other dogs. Whether theyre playing with their siblings, exploring their surroundings, or soaking up attention from their humans, these girls are always ready for fun.

Like all puppies their age, they are currently working on their potty training and crate training and are making progress every day. Their future families should be prepared to continue their training and provide the consistency, patience, and structure that every puppy needs to grow into a well-mannered adult dog.

While they have not been formally cat tested, we believe they would likely do well with cats provided introductions are slow, appropriate, and properly managed.

Retriever mixes are known for their loyal, loving, and intelligent personalities, and these girls are no exception. They are looking for families committed to providing plenty of love, exercise, training, and socialization as they continue to grow.

Ash, Smudge, Shadow, and Cinder will be fully vetted prior to adoption. This includes age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal testing, spay/neuter surgery, and routine veterinary care.

If youre looking to add a sweet, playful, and loving puppy to your family, one of our Black Beauty pups may be the perfect match for you!

To apply, please visit www.freedomfirstrescue.com.

Freedom First Rescue's Adoption Policy
Adoption Requirements We want to ensure that our dogs are ending up in the best homes possible and we ask that you fulfill these requirements in order to adopt one of our dogs: Our age requirement is 23 year old and we do require a copy of your license to verify. If you do not own your home, we will require land lord approval. Everyone in the home needs to be supportive and accepting of the adoption (we run a criminal background checks for all adults over 18 that are living in the household). All people living in the home need to be able to do a meet and greet with the dog in question for adoption – this includes your current dog(s). This step happens AFTER your application and home visit are approved! Resident dogs must be surgically altered (spayed/neutered), up to date on core vaccinations (Rabies and Distemper), heartworm tested on a consistent basis AND/OR on monthly heartworm prevention. IF YOUR DOG IS NOT SPAYED/NEUTERED, DO NOT FILL OUT AN APPLICATION FOR ONE OF OUR DOGS UNLESS you can provide documentation from a licensed veterinarian stating why this is has not be done. **PLEASE NOTE: Submitting an application does NOT guarantee an adoption. There is a 3 part process. This starts with an application review. If your application is approved, you will move on to step two which is a home check. At that point if you are approved the last and final step will be a meet and greet with the dog in question for adoption. We DO NOT do female to female dog adoptions with our BULLY BREEDS!! Male to male or male to female adoptions with our bully breed dogs are acceptable!
