Arya 3541's Story
05/20/26. Arya is a gorgeous fawn Doberman girl, about 5 years old, who’s cool as a cucumber in just about any environment.

She’s a steady, affectionate dog who loves being close to her person. Arya is easygoing and doesn’t ask for much—just a cozy spot to curl up where she can keep an eye on you (or watch the world outside). She’s gentle with small dogs and isn’t fazed by lizards, birds, or bunnies. She’s simply a calm, sweet soul looking for the same kind of energy.

Arya also loves baths and being pampered—what girl doesn’t? She’s friendly with everyone she meets and happily accepts head rubs and ear scratches from anyone. She rides great in the car and would love to tag along for patio dinners or ice-cream dates. She truly has big “princess” vibes.

Arya would do best in a quiet home. She’s mild-mannered and, overall, an absolute angel. She’s currently in a foster home and would love to find her forever family soon.

3/12/26. Look at this adorable dober gal! ARYA just came to us from the Lee County shelter, so we don’t know much about her past, but she’s incredibly sweet and such a joy to spend time with. She’s friendly and loves everyone she meets. Total Velcro Doberman.

Arya is heartworm positive, and we need to get some weight on her before we can start treatment.

She seems to like other dogs, though we haven’t formally tested her with another yet. We also don’t know how she is with cats or kids.

At first, we thought she was older than her estimated 3 years. But after just a few days of good groceries and love, she’s already flourishing and really does seem like a younger dober gal.

Lucky is the family who wins this beauty’s heart.

3/7/26 We welcomed Arya to DRL today. We were told by the shelter she’s about 3 years old, though she may be closer to 7. She’s a super sweet girl.

Arya needs to put on some weight before she can start her heartworm treatment, so for now she’s getting three meals a day and lots of care. Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). These dogs will always be supported by DRL. We welcome financial support for these dogs.
