Meet Arlo
ARLO IS SAFE IN A FOSTER HOME AND AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION
ARLO IS AVAILALBE FOR ADOPTION!
Foster Mom Hannah reports that Mr. Arlo is between 4-5 months old. He is completely potty trained and knows sit. He is very redirect-able with a grunt of disapproval and very treat oriented so additional training should come quickly. He LOVES meal times and puts on quite a hopping show when he hears the food being scooped. He is not a fan of his kennel so we backed off putting him in it, but have left it available for his use. His foster brother and sister share a different one and he is happy to join them in theirs for naps with the door open. The other night when I put my pups went to bed I locked the door and Arlo went into his kennel. I left the door open for him and he slept in there just fine! He does get a little nervous when left alone, but having other animals helps. He typically does his own thing, but comes and checks in to make sure all is well. He will just lay in the grass and look around. His favorite thing to chew is a roll of toilet paper so we make sure to close the bathroom doors. He has taken other items like shoes and a potato, but doesn't chew them up. He carries them outside and will revisit them, but does not destroy them. He also likes the idea of bones, but again doesn't seem how to commit and really chew them. He prefers my kids over anyone. They are 7 and 12. He does the typical puppy nipping, but is quickly learning it is not okay. He loves to play with our dogs, but we do not have cats so we are unsure about that. Arlo will most likely be okay with kitties as he does not have a visible prey drive other than puppy curiosity. He rides great in the car, but prefers to be in the back with the kids. For the first week or so he slept in bed with me and stayed there all night. Not even wanting to get up with me. Now he sleeps where ever he likes. He is definitely a puppy, but also acts so mature about certain things. Arlo is quite the gentleman!
