Arden's Story

Arden is a 3–4 year old Anatolian Shepherd/Australian Shepherd mix (breed guess based on features) who is beginning a brand new chapter after being surrendered to a veterinary clinic. While we don’t know much about her earlier life, it appears she likely spent most of it outdoors. Now, with the help of her foster family, Arden is learning what it means to be part of a home—and she’s doing better every day.

Arden is a sweet, gentle girl with a soft spirit. She can be timid at first, especially around men, but she is never aggressive. When she feels unsure, she simply backs away and keeps to herself. Once she feels safe, her kind and loving personality begins to shine through.

She is truly wonderful with children and other dogs—her foster family says she is 10/10 with both. Arden is submissive, easygoing, and enjoys the company of other dogs. She has also been around cats and does well with them.
Because indoor life is still fairly new to her, Arden will do best with adopters who understand that confidence-building takes time. She’s already making huge strides and continues to settle in more every day. Arden is potty trained and crate trained, and while she does not enjoy getting into the car, she rides nicely once she’s inside the vehicle.
One of Arden’s sweetest qualities is her gentle, cozy side. She loves stuffed toys, soft blankets, and burrowing into comfy spots where she feels safe and secure. Watching her slowly discover comfort, play, and trust has been incredibly rewarding.
Arden has also been around livestock. She may bark at them, but she has not shown aggression.
Arden is fully vetted and ready to find a calm, patient, loving home where she can continue learning what it means to be someone’s dog. If you’re looking for a gentle companion and have the heart to help a shy girl bloom, Arden may be the perfect match for you.

Apply to adopt:
https://rubiesandrogues.com/pages/placement-application

Adoption fee $300 (includes vetting through our program) see here for specifics: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/16xaqyrjYF/
