Meet Archie<br/><br/>Archie is a loving, devoted little guy with a playful spirit and a big personality. He’s the slightly more assertive half of this duo with Frankie, and the two are clearly best friends. In fact, Archie once casually took a bone right out of Frankie’s mouth, and Frankie simply let him have it. No argument. No drama. Just two best friends who apparently have their own arrangement. <br/><br/>Archie is a bit of a talker and will happily let you know what he thinks, but he has plenty of sweetness to balance out his opinions. He is fascinated by cats and genuinely likes them, which makes him a particularly charming little ambassador for the feline persuasion.<br/><br/>He also has a bit of an adventurer in him. In his foster home in rural eastern Utah, Archie enjoys heading out for walks on the dirt roads, exploring the wide-open landscape, and hunting for lizards. Ten acres of desert to investigate? Archie considers that an excellent doggy playground.<br/><br/>He loves to play, loves his people, and is happiest when he's with Frankie. Together, they make a wonderful pair: Frankie is the quieter, softer one, while Archie brings a little more confidence, curiosity, and dachshund commentary to the partnership.<br/><br/>Archie and Frankie are bonded and must be adopted together, for the adoption fee of $450 for both dogs. They’re looking for a home where they can continue their adventures side by side, whether that means exploring the great wide open, playing together, sharing bones (apparently), or simply curling up with their people at the end of the day.<br/><br/>Two little dachshunds. One very special friendship. <br/><br/>Archie is currently being fostered in Utah.<br/><br/>Rocky Mountain Dachshund Rescue (RMDR) has foster families in Colorado, Nevada, Utah, Montana, and Wyoming. Please check the dog’s location before your apply to adopt them. You will need to pick them up. RMDR DOES NOT TRANSPORT THE DOG TO YOU or transport them across state lines.<br/><br/>The Colorado Department of Agriculture requires that all dogs entering PACFA-licensed facilities have a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) issued by an accredited veterinarian within 30 days of entry. Dogs over three months of age must also have proof of a current rabies vaccination, including the vaccination date, manufacturer, and serial number listed on the CVI. Puppies must receive parvovirus and distemper vaccinations at least 14 days before entry.<br/><br/>These PACFA requirements may affect the adoption fee.
