MEET ANGEL!

This sweet tiny Angel Bean is a 12 year old Applehead Chihuahua who was originally purchased from a breeder as a wee pup. He spent the majority of his life with his beloved mom and was with her throughout her time in hospice. When she passed away, Angel lucked out and found his way to an amazing foster home with City of Elderly Love where he's had a chance at a second start to life. 

Angel is a social butterfly! He loves attention and will eat it up any chance he gets. Though he does spend about 70% of his day napping, he is still very spry and enjoys spending the rest of his time cuddling, snacking and going for walks. It had been many years since his former owner was able to physically walk Angel so he's making up for lost time - he LOVES going for walks! He'll truck on for as long as you let him and sometimes you have to remind him that it's time to head home (unless there's rain, then you may have to coax him outside for potty breaks and he'll happily trot back indoors)! Because he loves snuggling and loves to follow his people around to see what they're doing, he'd love an adopter who spends a lot of time at home. Though he is crate trained!

Angel has not lived with kids and though he's friendly and outgoing when he does interact with them, we think he'd be happiest without small children in his home due to his age and tiny stature. He peacefully lives with cats in his foster home and has lived with other low-key dogs. He gets along with dogs though will pretty much bark at any dog he sees on a walk. We think he'd be happiest in a home where he doesn't have to worry about a lot of rowdy play so perhaps with other smaller senior dogs like himself. He's love a home where his family will love and adore him, take him on adventures, walks, hikes, etc. He may be a senior by age, but he's determined to stay young! Besides some excessive tearing from his adorable bug eyes, Angel has received a clean bill of health!
