Amber Shepherd Mix Manhattan, KS

Hi! My name is Amber and I'm a beautiful 8+ year old shepherd mix with the most luxurious fur and perfect manners. I am fully house trained, crate trained and I love being near my people and "talking" to them with grumbles and whines that are so adorable. They go well with my slightly crooked smile which my foster mom just adores. I sit politely and wait for my leash to be put on, and also sit and wait for it to be removed. I also sit and wait politely for food. I don't jump on people and am good on the leash, although I can be strong if I wanted to (and if I see a rabbit!). I go in my crate all on my own and sleep quietly but will let you know when I need to be let out. Since I am a senior, and am heartworm positive I am looking for a very special family to care for my needs. You'd never know I was older or had this condition because I am so smart, alert, calm and healthy. I am unsure about some dogs, especially females, so introductions would be a must for potential adopters and introductions in the home will need to be gradual. I seem to prefer older/lower energy male dogs. But other than that I am entirely perfect! I will be spayed just before Christmas and available to adopt in January.
I forgot to mention that she does this precious thing...when you leave her for a while she steals one of my shoes or socks and brings it into her crate for "company" I guess. She doesn't chew it she just wants to have it with her. ?
