But what a difference some time, patience, and good canine role models have made!<br/><br/>Amalie is coming out of her shell more and more every day. She now confidently roams around the house with her foster family and her “mentor dogs,” following their lead and learning from them. She seems especially happy when she has her canine friends around and loves following them wherever they go.<br/><br/>Her confidence outdoors has grown tremendously, too. On walks, Amalie now leads the way with her tail held high — a wonderful change from the timid girl who first arrived. She enjoys being outside and is becoming more comfortable experiencing the world around her.<br/><br/>She has also settled into a regular routine and is now eating well without being picky. It's wonderful to see her becoming more relaxed and comfortable with everyday life.<br/><br/>Amalie will still need a patient, loving family who understands that she has come a long way but may continue to need some time and encouragement as she adjusts to her forever home. A confident, friendly dog in the home would be ideal for her. Her mentor dogs have shown her that the world can be a safe and happy place, and having another dog to learn from will help her continue to flourish.<br/><br/>Are you the lucky family for Amalie?
