The more time she spends in foster care, the more her wonderful personality shines through.

She's wonderful with other dogs, great with cats, and so gentle and easygoing with her people. She can still be a little shy when meeting someone new, but give her a little space and let her come to you, and she'll soon be leaning in for affection.

Alice absolutely loves being outdoors, especially somewhere she can run, explore, and just be a dog. Give her a trail, a ball, or a good stick to chase, and she's in her element. One of her foster's favourite things is watching Alice proudly prance around showing off the stick she's just retrieved! And when the adventures are over? She's more than happy to curl up on the couch for a long nap.

Alice has made some wonderful progress in foster care. She's now comfortable being left home alone for short periods and settles quietly without any fuss. One thing we've learned about Alice is that she's not really a city girl. Busy streets and traffic can be overwhelming, and she's much happier exploring quiet trails than walking through a busy neighbourhood. Around home, she's perfectly content with a short stroll to check on the squirrels and catch up on the neighbourhood pee mail.

We think Alice would make an incredible family dog in a home that enjoys getting outside for daily adventures but also appreciates a quiet, relaxed life. Somewhere away from the hustle and bustle of the city, with easy access to nature, would be her dream.

Alice has so much love to give, and we can't wait for someone to see the wonderful dog her foster family gets to see every day.

Apply to adopt Alice: https://straightouttarescuesociety.ca/dog-adoption-application
