Aggie's Story
Hi!
*** COUNTRY HOME ONLY - AGGIE DOES NOT DO WELL IN THE CITY WITH ALL THE NOISE ***

My name is Agatha, but my foster family calls me Aggie. I am approximately 2-3 years old, we really aren't sure when my birthday is so we can celebrate it every day! I am a Border Collie /Australian Shepherd mix, sweet but timid girl looking for my forever home!

I was the most scared girl of a group of dogs rescued in from a hoarding in May, but I've made a lot of progress in the last couple months!

I am crate and potty trained, and the crate is my ultimate safe place. I need a family who will help me continue to get braver and be more comfortable hanging out in the open and out of my kennel. Once I get to know someone they become my next safest place, and I seek out cuddles and touching for security when I'm nervous. So far I seem to particularly like women for security cuddles.

I'm currently living on an acreage with other dogs, and I've seen chickens, ducks, horses, and cats. I'm pretty good around them for the most part, but if I get the opportunity and am feeling brave enough I do like to chase the cats or chickens. The horses don't phase me much though.
I'm good with the other dogs I live with too, and would love a confident dog friend in my new home. I especially appreciate dogs who wont be overbearing and will give me my space to get comfortable with them on my terms.
I also am living with 2 young kids. Sometimes their loud noises make me a little nervous but I'm mostly used to them and ignore them a lot of the time. Sometimes they give me pets or my breakfast which I love! But my foster mom doesn't let them hold my leash themselves because if I get startled I might pull too hard.

I also really love jumping! I must have a tall fence. My foster mom thinks I could have some good potential with some dog sports once Im more confident!

Do you have room in your heart to help me become the dog I could be? Itll take some patience from you, but Ill love you with all I have!

Fenced yard a must.

If you feel that Aggie could be a great match for you, please complete an adoption application on our website www.hullshaven.org. Adoption fee is $450 and this includes their core vaccines (DA2PPV, Rabies) deworming, health checks and spay/neuter, as well as any care required. All finalized adoptions come with a free 6 week trial of pet insurance with Pet Secure.
