Afton is spayed and up to date on vaccines - and is heartworm positive. We have started her treatment and we can't wait until she's heartworm free! This treatment is completely covered for her adopter.<br/><br/>Afton is sweet, goofy, and calm! She is chill as ever- not afraid of anything other than really loud thunder. In storms, she comes up next to her foster for comforting pets until the storm passes. She does her own thing, lays in her bed while her foster watches tv, and lays in the yard a few feet away during yard work. She is always nearby, but never in the way.<br/><br/> She is house trained and crate trained! She loves being outside in the yard, does great on a leash, and even knows "sit"! If she could talk she would say, "once I trust you, I promise to be loyal and loving". She is working on gaining some weight as she is underwieght right now, but her foster is working with her to get her to a nice and healthy weight! She has been great with the other dogs in her foster home, and has been great with every person she has met. Her absolute favorite thing is being brushed- she loves it!<br/><br/>She is being fostered in Richmond, VA and is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, has been dewormed, spayed and microchipped, and is on monthly preventatives. Her adoption fee is $375. We require that all adopters, regardless of the dogs age, are committed to ongoing training and socialization as part of responsible ownership. We conduct a vet reference check (all resident dogs must be altered/up to date on dhpp/rabies and monthly preventatives, and cats must be altered and up to date on rabies) and a virtual home visit call where we discuss the adoption process and see your home.
