Ladies and Gentleman, Children of all ages . . . in the center ring, please, allow me to introduce you tooooo . . . AWESOME ACE (AKA Barney)! While Ace runs around the ring and warms up for his act, I will answer some questions from the audience. First question, is Ace good with other dogs? Yes, Ace gets along great with dogs of all sizes, ages, and breeds . . . while not overly playful he is friendly, sweet and well mannered. Ace does have the tendency to chase and growl at cats. Next question, is Ace house-trained, crate-trained and does he walk well on leash? Well, that was actually three questions, but the answers are: not really, yes, and YES! Ace tends to lift his leg in the house, but we have found that using a belly band on him is an easy solution (side note: he does better not lifting his leg inside if he has access to a fenced in yard). Ace sleeps in his crate if he has to be alone during the day or at bedtime; he enters without any fuss and is perfectly content. In fact, Ace will put himself to bed if his person stays up too late. Our last questioner wants to know how we would describe Ace. Well, Awesome Ace is affectionate, eager to please, joyful, playful and well behaved. Ace enjoys being bathed and groomed. Notice how he proudly struts around the ring showing off his regal lion-cut; while he prances along with his fluffy tail trailing in the wind! You cannot be around Ace without smiling! He certainly appreciates being petted and loved-on by people. Because awesome Ace is a wee-small boy who doesn’t like being cornered by toddlers we are recommending him to a home with older children that can respect his space. While he is fine with most children and under most circumstances, he would prefer to be around children old enough to know how to behave around small animals. Ace is great with his food and eats around other dogs with no issues. Ace knows Sit. . . and, the reason you all came to the show to see . . .DANCE! Watch how Ace dances on his hind-legs. This is Ace’s happy dance. Ace dances when is happy and he is happy with his person come home and when he gets a treat. Happy, Awesome Ace is a 12 lb 6 1/2 year-old male Lhasa/Poodle mix. He is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. You may not aspire to run away and join the circus, but, whether doing the two-step or four, Awesome Ace will dance his way into you heart.
