Meet Abigail

Meet Abigail! This sweet senior is about 8-years-old and 45-pounds. She was dumped in a rural Kentucky "dog dumping ground" and left to fend for herself. She is the sweetest dog you could hope to meet. Her house manners are impeccable! She is reliably house-trained, does not get on the furniture, and does not chew. She sleeps happily on a dog bed through the night. Abigail acts like a dog who learned early on that being quiet and inconspicuous is the way to get by. She will look for a quiet corner to snooze, her favorite being her foster’s closet because it must feel like a den. She walks nicely on a leash and enjoys being out to smell the smells, saying hello to anyone she meets! She’s shy at first, but Abigail has grown much more comfortable in just a short time. She will come when called, seek out attention, and has started giving out sweet little kisses. Abigail has done great with the other dog in her foster home and with those she meets when out and about. If you are looking for a companion who is grateful for every little thing, Abigail is the one!
