Meet #457 Banks
Banks was transferred to Branford Animal Shelter. Banks is an energetic cutie. He loves to whip toys around and play. He enjoys walks, but will tug-o-war with the leash, so we've been trying to break him of that habit. Banks thinks he is a lap dog, and once he settles down from his excitement of getting out of his kennel, he likes a lap to lay on. We have been teaching him some commands in sign language because he is deaf. He knows sit, come, no, and look. He doesn't bark, but will scream/whine when he feels frusterated or unhappy. But for the most part he is quiet. ........................One-year-old Banks was left in the local dog park. He played with the other dogs in the snow as he awaited our arrival to pick him up.The concerned citizen pointed him out in the park but he was hard to spot because he blended in with the snow banks, hence his new name. Banks is DEAF but responds well to face recognition and some hand signals. He would love a home where he will receive extra training for his disability. He is very sweet and cuddly but does play like a wild man at times and it is hard to get his attention in order to have him chill out. A patient person is definitely needed to partner with this adorable little guy. You can also see Banks' video at www.youtube.com/fotnhas . NO APPOINTMENTS NEEDED.
