Meet Tyrone

Meet Tyrone!

Tyrone is a large and active adult brown Tabby with the sweetest of personalities. Tyrone is about 5 years old. He is a shorthair Tabby with soft fur and unmatched cuddling skills!

Tyrone loves to roam around the house exploring, but he never strays too far from where his people are! If he is curious about something, he will let you know with his extensive vocabulary! Warming up to new people quickly, he loves to sit in your lap while you are relaxing—whether watching TV or reading a book—he will curl into a ball and bat his paws in the air for your pets. Tyrone is friendly with both humans and cats but has not been introduced to dogs, so for potential pup friends, he would need a careful, patient introduction.

Tyrone loves to play with toy springs, lasers, cat-dancers, and just about any toy you throw his way. While cautious of new cats at first, he warms up to new friends after just a little exposure. Because Tyrone loves company so much, he would thrive the most in an environment where someone is home most of the time (outside of work hours). Tyrone is quite the chatty Cathy and loves to have long conversations.

Although he is positive for FIV, contrary to popular myth, research has shown that FIV-positive cats can live the same lifespan as FIV-negative cats. This research has also debunked the concept that it is unsafe for FIV+ cats to live with FIV-negative cats. The disease is mainly passed from cat to cat through deep bite wounds, the kind that usually occurs outdoors during aggressive fights and territorial disputes—not during a normal house-cats life—certainly not one indoor, which is where Tyrone will have to stay. Tyrone would love to be adopted with his two children, Heath and Kit-Kat, who are also posted on PetFinder under Solano County Friends of Animals. Tyrone, Heath, and Kit-Kat love to play together; from chasing lasers to chasing each other, they have a blast with each other! https://www.petfinder.com/cat/kit-kat-and-heath-bonded-pair-59016061/ca/benicia/solano-county-friends-of-animals-ca383/

Tyrone is currently living with Savannah and Adam. If you have any questions about Tyrone or would like to set up an appointment to meet him for potential adoption, contact Adam at: adam.g.r.young@gmail.com

Can you give Tyrone the fur-ever home he deserves? He will give you lots of love in return!

All cats adopted from Solano County Friends of Animals are up to date on their FVRCP vaccinations, rabies (if over 4 mos), microchipped, neutered, dewormed, and tested for FELV/FIV.
