Meet Shrimp

Shrimp is one of a kind in many special ways!
Not only is he super handsome and unique with his beautiful silver sweater, but he also is unique in that he was born with a health challenge.

This gorgeous little guy was diagnosed with CH (Cerebellar hypoplasia). It can cause wobbly or unsteady walking, and so Shrimp will need to be in a home to fit his needs.

Shrimp has Moderate-Severe CH. Shrimp should have a home with a person or family who either has experience with CH kitties or has done the research to understand the extra care needed.

Shrimp needs a home that has his safety in mind. He will need a safe area where he can stay when not supervised. Ideally, he'll live in a house with no stairs, or stairs closed off to him so that he doesn't fall.
He will need a high sided litter box with a low entry. He does the rest on his own!
Shrimp eats great but does need some extra support. He does best with something propping him up or just laying between your hands.

Despite all this, Shrimp doesn't know he has a disability and it doesn't hold him back one bit! He is an explorer and loves playing, especially with his siblings!
Shrimp is the sweetest boy & when he’s not chowing down on food he loves to cuddle with you! He is fully litter box trained just like his siblings & does a great job keeping his beautiful silver coat clean!

Kittens with cerebellar hypoplasia are not infectious to other kittens or cats, are not in any pain, and will learn to adapt to their disability over time. We would be happy to give you all the vet's information about Shrimp, and answer any questions we can!

Shrimp is so worth the little extra effort and will bring so much happiness and joy to the right family.
He would love to be adopted with another kitten to play with - maybe one of his brothers! There is a discount for and you will have twice the love and twice the fun!

Shrimp is in a foster home right now but if you’d like to meet him, just fill out an adoption application and we will arrange it right away! To get the application, go to:

Or click on the adoption application link on this page under our logo and map.

All of our cats are completely vetted and litterbox trained. All animals live in a pet and kid friendly foster home before going up for adoption. The health of our animals physically and mentally are our top priority. BPP strives to place animals in great homes efficiently to ensure less stress on the animal. 90 percent of our cats are adopted out within 3 months or less and we have a 1 percent return rate after adoption.

We approve applications within 48 hours and ask finalization in most cases to happen within two days of approval.

Applications can be filled out online at our website at www.buckeyepetpartners.org
We adopt out in order approved applications are received. We suggest if you’re interested in a cat especially small kittens please submit ASAP as they get adopted quickly.

All of our animals come with medical records given at time of adoption!
We offer a 14-day money back trial to insure a good fit for the animal and family! And we offer a lifetime return if for any reason you are unable to care for one of our pets in the future.
