RJ NYC Seal Pt Siamese New York, NY

RJ is a very nice cat who is afraid of dogs and does NOT get along w/ other cats despite having lived for a long time with 2 others. Possibly bc he wasn't neutered? And I'm guessing the other 2 male cats were also not neutered...p-u! No wonder he wasn't happy in that home for all of his 3y! So now he is happy as a solo cat in foster and waiting for his furever home. He is a stunning boy, varied chocolate colors, 3y, slightly overweight but is slimming down nicely in foster after switching to straight wet. Foster writes: Once he opens up he is incredibly affectionate, curious, social and intelligent. He follows us around the apartment and loves being pet - often will head butt his way into getting some face rubs and pets. He enjoys hanging around people, lounging nearby with his head or a paw resting on your lap. Like many Siamese cats, he very vocal and chatty - will tell you about his day or give commentary on what he is doing. No issues with chewing houseplants but likes to have a taste of whatever we are having for dinner. Uses litter box with no issues. Please apply today!

Previous family says: RJ is described as friendly, affectionate, playful. assertive. shy and independent. He is described as very sweet and he loves being petted. His favorite activities are eating treats and playing with laser pointers. When you're home, he may want to be in the same room, be in his favorite spot or stay hidden. His favorite toys are wands, catnip toys and laser pointers. He's been kept mostly indoors. He sleeps anywhere that is dark and comfy for him. He eats both wet and dry food from Hill's Science; 1/4 cup 2-3 times a day. His favorite treats are Temptation: Milk Flavor. He is litterbox trained and uses an uncovered box with clumping litter. He scratches on furniture or drapes if no scratching post made of cardboard, carpet or fabric is available.

All cats are in the NY area. Cats are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped. All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport. Please note: kittens must be adopted in pairs or to households with age appropriate cat(s) to ensure proper socialization and companionship. NO exceptions! If you would prefer a solo cat, we would be happy to recommend those cats who would do best as solo cats.

All our cats are tested for feline leukemia and FIV, FVRCP and Rabies vaxed and also microchipped.

Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent. Please ask by writing us at cats@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too. Please come!
