Meet Poppy

Sweet Poppy has been through so much in her little life! She was found on the side of the road and brought into a veterinary hospital. She was missing whiskers on one side of her face, had a funny walk, and a puncture on her side. It was determined that she must have been attacked by something, most likely a dog. Her pelvis was broken on her left side. Despite all her pain, she was purring away!

Poppy is doing better now, and is walking much better. She runs, climbs, and plays just like other kittens...she just stumbles sometimes! She is a loving and fun little girl who needs a home that can handle her medical condition and any further care she may need. She loves attention and purrs every time she sees you! Poppy loves the ball toys and she was the first one to figure them out...she's a smart girl.

Our veterinarian recommended that her pain and mobility be monitored closely, and that she may need her left leg amputated in the future.

Poppy would not be a good fit for a home with small children or dogs, as she is fragile and needs to be handled carefully.
