Pickles is a sweet cat who is about one year old. As you can tell by his ear, he used to be a stray, and it can take him a little time to become confident in new surroundings. This means that at adoption events, he is too scared to show people what a sweet cat he really is!

Pickles is young enough to be very playful and get his morning zoomies (burst of energy), but old enough that he will contentedly lay on the floor, purring, while you and guests sit on the couch and chat. He is even showing some promise of becoming a lap cat one day!

Pickles is still a bit wary of loud noises or sudden movement, but if he shoots away to hide, he is easily enticed out of his hiding place with the promise of attention! When you pet him, he flops down on the floor in happiness and will give you a few little licks. This kitty is definitely not the normal extroverted fellow you will meet at adoption events, but it is so rewarding to see his personality unfold as he opens up to you, and begins to trust you!

Two other cute things we have discovered about Pickles - he tends to squeak instead of meow, especially when he is excited, AND sometimes he will intently watch the TV and follow characters as they move across the screen!

If we didn't have a family member who was allergic to cats, we would definitely foster fail and adopt this little gentleman! Our loss is your gain - come meet this sweet cat today!
