Meet Padfoot

Padfoot says playtime is life! Padfoot was definitely the leader of her litter when they first came to there foster home and she was very protective of her siblings. She’s the biggest (although that’s not saying much because she’s still a little kitten) and she would hiss at her foster mom every time she would try to pick her up. Now she cuddles in her foster moms lap every morning to get her pets and is the sweetest girl. Padfoot is still the best big sister to little Wormtail, though, and lets her snuggle up with her all the time.
Padfoot and Wormtail (check out my profile on Petfinder) are still available for adoption and would love to be adopted together if possible!

Looking to adopt a kitten or kittens? Ask about our Foster-To-Adopt Program! Kittens that are @ 8 weeks old can be placed into approved forever homes in a foster-to-adopt situation prior to adoption. To begin the process simply submit an adoption application located on our webpage at operationhood.org. Once we receive your application our Adoption Coordinator will contact you!

Adoption Fee's:
Under 6 months – $150.00
6 months to 1 year – $100.00
Over 1 year – $75.00

The Foster-to Adopt program is in place for two primary reasons:

1.) To monitor the dynamics with other pets and make sure the addition to the family is a positive experience prior to the commitment to adopt.

2.) To allow the kitten(s) to be in and become comfortable with its’ forever home in cases where the animal is too young to be spayed or neutered. Once the kitten is of age and ready to be spayed/neutered we will arrange the appointment for you to take them in. There is not place like home to get lots of TLC and recovery is less stressful where you feel comfortable!

Please keep in mind the commitment when adopting kitten(s) as the the typical lifespan ranges somewhere between 13 and 17 years, according to the ASPCA. However, it isn't uncommon for indoor cats to live to at least 20+ years.

All cats adopted through Operation Hood have been or will be (depending on age) spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and receive FeLV/FIV tests, rabies vaccination, de-wormer, and flea & tick treatment.
