Meet Oscar
Hi I'm Oscar! I am looking for a new family to love and care for me in my last months. Sadly, I have inoperable mast cell tumors on my face and neck, and my days are limited. But please don't let that scare you! I still have plenty of energy left in me. It may take me awhile to adjust to a new environment, but once I do, I will be following you around and meowing for attention. I love to explore new places, but very cautiously because new things tend to be scary for me. I chase laser pointers, strings, stuffed ball toys, and even treats! You can always catch me climbing high in my cat tree trying to get a peek at outside. Climbing is one of my favorite things to do unless I get on top of something I'm not supposed to. I can get grumpy when being told to get off of something, which is where I get the nickname Oscar the grouch from my foster family. I also love curling up on peoples laps on the couch to take a nap.
I am looking for a family that has a quiet household where I will be able to roam freely in throughout the day and night. I would also prefer to be in an adult only household that has no dogs or visiting dogs and would potentially be able to co-exist nicely with another calm-tempered cat. Due to my medical condition and medications, a veterinary reference is required in order to adopt me.
Our shelter is running by appointment only. If you are interested in this pet, please call us at 978-452-7781 or email info@lowellhumanesociety.org to request an adoption application.
