Meet Murray
Meet Murray. He is a white and black, recently neutered male. Still young, Murray is playful and likes being petted. He loves toys and catnip, is super friendly and very easy to handle. He is neat about his food and litter. With his unusual markings and very friendly nature, he will make an excellent friend. He is FIV positive, but that does not slow him down. FIV is only shared through deep bites and mating, not through food and litter and casual contact. It is NOT transmittable to humans or dogs.
Murray is neutered, brought up-to-date on his vaccinations and cleared of any parasites. If you are interested in seeing Murray, please call Jean at 207-543-7348 for an appointment.
PAWS is a nonprofit organization that rescues abandoned cats in the St. John Valley. To see the cats in need of a home, call to make an appointment, or visit during walk-in hours (Saturdays 11-1pm, Tuesdays 1-3pm)
Organization members believe most pets can be socialized and prefer not to release them back outdoors, as winters are harsh in Northern Maine. PAWS operates as a no-kill shelter. Their mission is to get owners to spay and/or neuter their animals to help cut down on the population and give all animals a better chance at a quality life.
PAWS Animal Welfare, Inc. spays, neuters and vaccinates mature animals before they are placed out for adoption.
