Mira Tabby & Maine Coon Mix Wyandotte, MI

Mira is new to Shelter to Home as of 4/20. She was not new to pound life, she came into the pound on Sept 5th, 2014 where she sat waiting and not adjusting well. Volunteers tried working with her and made very little progress. She would swipe at volunteers when they would clean her cage having potential adopters thinking that she would injure them.

This foster home loves to pull the feisty ones that have little chance of making it out of the pound system. Mira came home with me and went into my isolation room that is just closed off by a baby gate. She has adjusted very well with no signs of her being feisty! She has not come out of the room on her own but I have taken her on a "field trip" to look out the big back window. She sits at the gate waiting so I know it wont be long till she will be having coffee with me in the early mornings.

She is in foster care with other felines and canines that are making her a bit uncomfortable that may be the cause of her hanging a little longer in the isolation room.
