Meet Marge
Hi, my name is Marge! I am approximately 4 years old. I arrived at the shelter after being found as a stray. I am a friendly girl who really enjoys pets, cuddles, and playtime.
When I arrived here, staff immediately noticed I was trembling all over. Seeing this was more than just fear, I was rushed to the vet, where I was diagnosed with mild cerebellar hypoplasia (http://chcat.org/about-ch-cats/). This is a condition that cats can get when our moms are given the FVRCP vaccine while pregnant with us, and manifests as trembling/shaking in varying degrees. It is lifelong, and does not get better - or worse. Fortunately I don't tremble much, and can still walk around and function when I'm trembling. Staff has found typically I tremble when I'm stressed, scared or uncomfortable (I don't tremble all the time). Basically my condition doesn't limit me at all - except it means I must be an indoor only cat, since I cannot run as fast from predators or speeding cars. Come see me today!
