Mama (16) and Peanut (14) are a pair of mother-daughter Golden Girls ready to find the kind home just right for them!

Mama is deaf, but that doesn’t stop her from going headfirst into exploration or checking out a new person. With some time to settle in, she'll even thank you for being a friend and hop next to you on the couch for some TV time!

Peanut likes to take in her surroundings before taking a leap, finding confidence through observation. Once she feels confident, she takes pleasure in simple things like food, sleep, and an occasional scritch scratch from her humans.

These two feline-octogenarians spend most of their day sleeping. However, these gals have opened up in the past month. Mama now cuddles with her foster parents at night on the bed. Peanut bypasses the food bowl to come upstairs to get some brushing and petting on an hourly schedule. She craves and responds to attention, but does not provide any up-close-and-personal lap time. It’s taken 4-5 months now for them to get this far and the changes are still continuing. But they are past the playful run-around goofy behavior of their younger peers.

If their foster parents didn't work and had more time to cater to them, these two gals would probably be their shadows, following their foster parents around at all times.

Mama and Peanut have not lived with other cats, dogs, or young kids. Their ideal home would be one that has a calm, quiet atmosphere.

These sweet girls would love to find a home to live out the rest of their years with warmth, love, and compassion.

**Mama and Peanut are fed a renal diet to maintain a healthy lifestyle with mild kidney disease (which is common for cats of their age).

All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.
