Meet Lucky

Lucky is a 6 1/2 month old neutered, vaccinated, ear-tipped kitten who was born outdoors and grew up on a local farm. He permanently injured his front left elbow, so his leg will be amputated on 10/13, and he will be a tripod, but this will not stop him from being the perfect boy!

Lucky is an AMAZING boy who is extremely affectionate, loves all your attention & enjoys telling you that he would like more. He loves to be in your lap and he will work his way up to your neck so he can burrow in as close as possible, where he will purr and makes biscuits. He grew up in the company of many other cats and even played with the friendly farm dogs. He must be adopted to a home with another cat(s) or dog (or both) who wants a playmate and who wants to snuggle with Lucky, not simply tolerate him. Lucky is still a kitten and he enjoys kitten things, like pouncing things and jumping at wand toys and likely wrestling with a friend to whom he should be introduced to slowly. He also enjoys looking outside at the birds and squirrels from the top of the cat tree.

Lucky is perfect. He is a good eater, uses his litter boxes without fail, takes medicine like a champ (with Inaba Churu pre- and post- chaser of course) and even allows nail trims when he’s feeling relaxed.

His adopter needs to understand the needs of tripod kitties, which may include needing to adapt things in your home or purchase additional supplies to help him get around easily as needed. There are many great articles online. People who own tripods are the first to tell you that they are amazing and adapt really well. The biggest concern is to keeping him safely indoors, thus a collar & a home without small children, 11+, is ideal. Lucky must be indoor only, exceptions would be safe & fully enclosed access to an outdoor catio or kennel.

Lucky enjoys company and will thrive in a home where he can get plenty of time and attention and cuddles from the people and the pets. Bonus if you work from home or are a homebody.

You can see more about him via his foster mom’s social media accounts and you are welcome to ask her questions as well before you fill out an application.
