Hera Abyssinian Greenburgh, NY

Meet HERA. She is a 12 year old ABYSSINIAN gal, who was surrendered to us recently. Hera’s previous family purchased her at a pet store in Manhattan and had her front paw DECLAWED as a kitten. (Ouch!) Over the years, Hera was moved to various homes and traveled with her owner until they recently became unable to care for her. Hera was also growing increasingly unhappy with all the traveling (we can’t blame her). Hera has been in a foster home and after about two weeks, she has blossomed into a SWEET and LOVING cat who now realizes that a QUIET, CALM HOME is what makes her happy. When Hera’s foster mom is at her desk, she will jump behind her and pat her with her paw to get some pets. Hera enjoys being brushed and eating (lol she is a bit chunky so her adopter should be well versed in helping cats safely diet). Hera is very attached to her person but does hide when strangers come over. Hera needs a PATIENT adopter who will give her time to come around and help her build trust and confidence. We are looking for an ADULT ONLY, quiet household with someone who is CAT SAAVY and ready to adopt a senior kitty. She is spayed, UTD on shots, and FIV/FeLV negative. Hera is being fostered in Westchester, NY.
