Meet Guinness

Hello there! My name is Guinness and I am a ten year old female Smokey tabby. I’m looking for a nice calm family to call my first and forever home!
My story before coming to PPAWS is pretty unknown. When I first arrived at my foster’s house months ago, loud noises used to terrify me. However, my foster parents have been showing me lots of love and I’ve made great strides in my confidence. I likely lived the first part of my life on the streets, but I’ve learned what’s in the good life and I’m never turning back! My favorite toys are toy mice, crinkle toys, and tunnels. And I love being perched up on cat towers to watch the birds and squirrels outside! I may be ten years old, but my foster mom says sometimes I play like I’m ten months old!
I currently live with high energy big dogs and other cats. I must say, I don’t really like when the dogs get up in my face. I’m fine when they ignore me though, so my foster mom thinks I’d be best either with dogs who are smaller and have no interest whatsoever in me or no dogs. We can test me with your dog(s) before adoption! I get along well with cats, as long as they’re nice to me. I’d do well with either other adult cats or as a solo cat. Kitten energy brings out my grumpy old lady side, so I’d like to avoid going home with young kittens. I do however, love taking care of my fellow cat friends by bathing them and “hunting” toys for them! I haven’t been around kids before. My foster mom thinks I prefer a calmer setting though, so I’d do best with either older kids or no kids.
As part of my rough street life, I’ve lost almost all of my teeth. My vet isn’t worried, though, just thinks it’s due to poor nutrition and a life on the streets. I don’t let it slow me down, though! I eat wet food, dry food, and absolutely LOVE treats!! My foster mom thinks it makes me even cuter because it causes my tongue to hang out sometimes! It really adds to my character ?
I’ve had to be a tough cat my entire life, but I’m ready to retire to my forever home and live the easy life full of toys, food, and naps. I am an extremely sweet cat who wants attention and one on one time. I even love helping you out in the kitchen! I’ll try to clean up your kitchen messes if you let me ?
If you’re interested in adopting a senior lady and showing me a retirement life of luxury, please apply at purple-paws.org.
My adoption fee is $100, which covers my care and medical expenses. I am up to date on shots. I am spayed and FIV negative. I can’t wait to snuggle up to you!
