Born on October 9, 2014, this snowy-coated feline was the last of his litter to be adopted and, when he was adopted with another one of of our cats in February of 2017, we thought they both had found their Happy Ending. Unfortunately, Gourami and the other cat sabotaged the success of their adoption with less than desirable behavior. Despite having a small fortune worth of toys, scratch pads and scratch posts, both cats found their owner's new furniture and new carpet more to their liking when it came to flexing their claws. While Gourami is friendly enough and will occasionally snuggle up on a lap, it's on his own terms. He would much rather be stretched out on a comfy cat bed on a sunny window sill. As for other cats, his owner said he felt that Gourami would probably be happy as an only cat but Gourami had no trouble getting used to the other cats in the room almost from the first day. We admit, Gourami is far from 'purrfect' but he still deserves a chance at a forever home. If you don't have carpet and aren't picky about your furniture, you may not mind this mischievous cat's bad behavior. And there's always the chance that he'll outgrow some of it. Still, you should be prepared to accept Gourami as he is just as he will accept you as you are.
