Geronimo Domestic Short Hair Mix Medfield, MA

This small cat came to us after he had been abandoned in a rural cemetery. A local farmer who lives next to to the cemetery saw the car drive away after tossing him out. Geronimo lived outside on his own mixing with the other stray and abandoned cats on the farm for 2 weeks until a rescue group was able to come in and help some of the cats. This handsome fellow came to us with feet that had such infected feet that he had to have several toes amputated.
Naturally, he is very traumatized after these events. He has been very brave - allowing care for his feet and daily TLC by the volunteers. He is still very shy but allows petting. The best home for our tiger would be a quiet one where he can continue to recover and be indoors forever. We believe he would be happy living with other cats. He is approximately 1 year old.
Geronimo may always be a shy cat. We know there are angels out there that would be willing to give a cat a home no matter what.

If a cat is listed on our website, that means that cat is still available for adoption. The Shelter is staffed primarily by volunteers so adoption meetings take place on Saturdays from 11 - 1:00 during adoption hours, or by appointment. Our adoption fee for adult cats is $125 if 5 years old or younger and $75 for cats 6 years and up. The adoption fee includes the first set of vaccines, dewormer, microchip, combo testing (for FeLV and FIV) and spaying/neutering.
