Derek is a handsome dark orange striped tabby.   He’s been in foster care since mid-February 2023 along with his siblings.  Derek is a little bit hesitant when new people visit him but quickly warms up to them when starting to play with him.  He loves to play and as soon as he trusts you, he loves pets too and might sit on a lap.  He’s starting to get used to being held, and his foster is actively working with him and he is improving every day.
Like his siblings he is athletic enjoying playing with his siblings, enjoys playing with feathers that are on strings, will chase toy springs and tiny balls, likes bird watching, watching TV, and taking naps on a cat tower or the couch.   Derek is more independent at times than his siblings and is happy to nap and hang out on his own, but has always had another young feline friend and should be fine with a litter mate or other young cats as well.  Children should be 10 and up.

He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and fiv/felv tested negative.
